Hallo,
auch habe eine Cattleya tigrina, 2003 von Frau Elsner als C. leopoldina erworben. Die Pflanze hat schon zwei Crash-Erlebnisse in den 16 Jahren durchgemacht. Sie blüht nicht regelmäßig und wird getpoft warm und schattig kultiviert. Aus dem Urwald kam dann vor ein paar Tagen der BT zum Vorschein.

Die sehr intensiv, aber angenehm duftenden Blüten sind fast 8 cm breit.

Da ich die Pflanze zum besseren Genuss aus dem zugewachsenen Standort entnehmen wollte, um sie dann im Wohnbereich zu präsentieren, musst ich schon recht nviel Kraft aufwenden. Sie war fast komplett aus dem Topf herausgewachsen und die vitalen Wurzeln überall eingewachsen. So topfte ich den alten Wurzelballen aus, entfernte das Substrat und alle toten Bulben ... und dann sah es so aus.

Der blütentragende Bulb ist 45 cm lang, die Blätter 23 x 3 cm groß und nun wird neu eingetopft.

Hallo,
so eine Blütenfülle wie bei Emmily kann ich nicht bieten, das wäre ein Traum. Ich bin so auch zufrieden, meine C. tigrina (leopoldii ?) hat trotz des Umtopfens am 19.7.2019 einen BT am 24.7.2021 entwickelt.

Hallo,
wie jedes Jahr blüht meine C. tigrina, allerdings bereits am 10.7.2023, also vor einem Monat, entstanden die drei Bilder. In dem Urwald bin ich nicht besser ran gekommen. Ab Topf ist der blühende Bulb 64 cm hoch.

meine Cattleya tigrina, die ich im Beitrag #311.7.2019, Beitrag #15 27.10.2021 und auch im Beiztrag # 19 am 5.8.2023 zeigte, hat auch letztes Jahr geblüht, das ist der BT am 13.8.2025.

nun habe ich schnell noch ein Habitusbild gemacht.

Da sieht man, welch monströse Höhe diese Cattleyen erreichen können. Die Pflanze steht seit 6 Jahren (damals neu getopft) an der gleichen Stelle mit allen Schädlingen, die in einem so unordentlichen Biotop hier nicht zu vermeiden sind.
Die Blüte weerde ich nicht erleben, aber mein Sohn wird Bilder machen.
